Yes, the title is a joke. From a marketing standpoint, a different title might have sold more books. I kept this one because I find the phrase "even them non-binaries" funny. The idea of being non-binary, and the fact that many highly educated people take the concept very seriously, strikes me as inherently ridiculous and hilarious.

While the manuscript was being edited, I hired a well-educated young woman to review it. She objected to that part of the title, saying it was insensitive and would offend some readers. Ironically, her reaction made me like it even more.

If she had made a convincing case that it would significantly reduce sales, I would have considered changing it. Instead, her editing work proved disappointing, and we eventually went our separate ways. The discussion about "even them non-binaries" never progressed beyond her initial objection.

The older I get, the more interested I become in staying healthy, active, mobile, mentally sharp, and independent for as long as possible.

After years of studying nutrition, fasting, longevity research, and caring for aging parents, I decided to put what I learned into a single practical guide.

Everybody wants to live longer.

More importantly, most people want to remain healthy, active, mentally sharp, and independent for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, modern health advice often feels confusing.

One expert tells you to eat six meals a day.

Another tells you to skip breakfast.

One study claims a food is healthy.

The next study declares it to be dangerous.

Meanwhile, millions of people struggle with obesity, type 2 diabetes, chronic inflammation, heart disease, arthritis, declining energy levels, and poor metabolic health.

There is no single solution to every health problem.

But two approaches continue to attract growing scientific interest:

Mindful Fasting and anti-inflammatory nutrition.

Longevity Secrets For Men, Women, Even Them Non-Binaries! explores both in depth.

This book examines the science, practical application, potential benefits, limitations, and real-world challenges of using fasting and nutrition to support healthier aging.

No miracle cures.

No promises of immortality.

No expensive biohacking equipment required.

Just practical information you can actually use.

What This Book Covers

This book explores two powerful approaches that may help support long-term health and longevity:

Mindful Fasting and Eating an Anti-Inflammatory Diet

Part I: Mindful Fasting For Health And Longevity

Humans evolved to survive periods of food scarcity.

We may have evolved to benefit from them as well.

For most of human history, food was not available twenty-four hours a day, all year long. Periods of eating were often followed by periods without food, sometimes for extended periods. Fasting was a normal part of life rather than a health strategy.

Today, many researchers are exploring whether some of the body's natural repair and adaptation mechanisms become more active during periods without food.

Inside you'll explore:

  • The history of fasting across cultures and civilizations
  • The science behind fasting
  • Autophagy and cellular cleanup
  • Metabolic flexibility
  • Intermittent fasting
  • Extended fasting
  • Building a sustainable fasting plan
  • Managing hunger and social situations
  • Fasting and inflammation
  • Fasting and type 2 diabetes
  • Fasting and brain health
  • Fasting and cardiovascular health
  • Fasting and autoimmune conditions
  • Fasting and arthritis
  • Fasting and cancer research
  • Vitamins and nutraceuticals
  • Refeeding strategies
  • Common fasting myths
  • Advanced fasting techniques
  • Fasting and exercise
  • Long-term fasting strategies
  • The future of fasting research

The goal is not simply helping you skip meals.

The goal is helping you understand why fasting may influence many aspects of human health.

Part II: Anti-Inflammatory Eating For A Longer, Healthier Life

Chronic inflammation has been linked to numerous chronic and age-related diseases.

The second half of the book focuses on dietary strategies that may help reduce inflammatory burden while supporting overall health.

Topics include:

  • Understanding inflammation
  • Inflammatory foods and hidden ingredients
  • Anti-inflammatory foods
  • Omega-3 fats
  • Antioxidants
  • Meal planning
  • Budget-friendly healthy eating
  • Dining out without sabotaging your goals
  • Supplements and probiotics
  • Stress management
  • Exercise and inflammation
  • Sleep and recovery
  • Nutrient balance
  • Family participation
  • Long-term adherence strategies

Because the best diet is not the perfect diet.

It's the one you can actually maintain.

Why I Wrote This Book

I've spent years studying nutrition, fasting, healthy aging, exercise, and longevity.

I have also spent years watching what happens when health deteriorates.

As a caregiver for both of my parents during their final years, I saw firsthand how chronic illness, physical decline, reduced mobility, cognitive impairment, and loss of independence can dramatically affect quality of life.

Those experiences reinforced a simple reality:

Many of the diseases and limitations we associate with aging develop gradually over decades.

While no diet or fasting program can guarantee perfect health, the choices we make every day can influence the odds.

This book was written to help readers make better choices without getting lost in hype, marketing, and misinformation.

Who This Book Is For

This book may be useful if you:

  • Want to learn more about fasting
  • Are interested in healthy aging
  • Want practical nutritional guidance
  • Are concerned about inflammation
  • Want to improve metabolic health
  • Prefer evidence-based discussion over marketing claims
  • Want realistic strategies rather than extreme programs
  • Are looking for a sustainable approach to better health

Who This Book Is Not For

This book is probably not for you if you're looking for:

  • A miracle cure
  • A magic supplement
  • Instant results
  • Immortality
  • Celebrity wellness secrets
  • A shortcut that requires no effort

Healthy aging still requires healthy habits.

There is no way around that.

A Simple Truth

For thousands of years, humans evolved during long periods when food was not constantly available.

We did not evolve eating three meals a day, multiple snacks, and drinking sweetened beverages from morning until bedtime.

For most of human history, periods of eating were naturally followed by periods without food.

Today, researchers are exploring whether some of the body's repair, maintenance, and adaptation systems become more active during those periods.

Fasting is not a new idea.

In many ways, constant eating is.

Today many people live in an environment of perpetual abundance, highly processed foods, chronic stress, poor sleep, and physical inactivity.

The result is predictable.

Rates of obesity, metabolic disease, and chronic illness continue to rise.

Fasting and anti-inflammatory nutrition are not magic.

But they may help address some of the underlying factors contributing to modern health problems.

That possibility alone makes them worth understanding.

If you're interested in mindful fasting, nutrition, healthy aging, and practical strategies for improving long-term health, Longevity Secrets For Men, Women, Even Them Non-Binaries! provides a comprehensive introduction to both fasting and anti-inflammatory living.
